Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a Stores Person in Ilkeston for a 40-hour week with pay of £13.24 per hour. You will assist with goods receiving, storage and issuing materials to operatives, with forklift experience desirable.

Responsibilities include checking goods on arrival, unloading vehicles, organising stock, chasing late deliveries, maintaining stock records and safe storage, and providing materials to operatives.

Qualifications

• A good attitude.
• A willingness to learn new skills.
• Previous stores experience is an advantage.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check goods in, ensuring delivered in good condition.
• Unload vehicles using mechanical handling equipment.
• Organise, sort and manage stock levels.
• Chase late delivery/missing goods.
• Maintain stock records and stock take.
• Supply materials to General Operatives as required.
• Ensure goods are stored in a safe and acceptable manner.
• General stores duties including maintaining a clean and tidy workplace.
