Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a reliable Stores Person in Sandbach to manage stock, process goods inwards and prepare work kits for engineers. You will maintain inventory accuracy and help keep projects running smoothly.

Daily responsibilities include booking deliveries, stock checks, updating Sage records, and liaising with suppliers. A forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, stock control or inventory role.
• Experience using Sage software (or similar stock management/ERP systems).
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• Forklift licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock levels and carry out regular stock checks.
• Update inventory records using Sage and other company systems.

• Reorder stock and liaise with suppliers as required.
• Assist with stock takes and inventory audits.
• Keep the stores area clean, tidy and compliant with health and safety requirements.
• Support other warehouse and stores activities as required.

Location: Sandbach

Working schedule: 6:30am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday and 6:30am - 12pm Fridays

Rate of pay: Starts at £13.50ph

Contract type: Temporary to permanent opportunity for the right candidate

Adecco are looking for a reliable and organised Stores Person to join our client's team.

This is a hands-on role responsible for managing stock, processing goods inwards, maintaining accurate inventory records, and preparing work kits for operatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials and equipment are available when needed, helping to keep projects running efficiently.
