Job summary

Scotmas Group is currently looking for a Stores Person in Kelso, Scotland. In this role, you will manage stock control in our mechanical and electrical stores, supporting production teams with picking, packing, and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or logistics environment.
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Good attention to detail, particularly around stock accuracy and order packing.
• Comfortable working at pace in a physical role.
• A self-starter who takes ownership of their area.

Responsibilities

• Picking and kitting components to support the production teams.
• Packing and preparing outgoing orders for despatch.
• Receiving incoming deliveries, checking against purchase orders and logging discrepancies.
• Loading and unloading vehicles using a forklift.
• Cycle counting and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and organisation of the stores area

Experience

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or logistics environment
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence
• Good attention to detail, particularly around stock accuracy and order packing
• Comfortable working at pace in a physical role
• A self‑starter who takes ownership of their area
• Good communication skills and a team‑first attitude
• Experience using a ERP or stock management system would be an advantage
• Goods in / goods out in a manufacturing environment
