Job summary

Sapphire is seeking a reliable Stores Person to take ownership of its site-based stores in Ipswich. You will manage day-to-day stock, receipts, checks and issue parts to engineers and installation projects.

The role emphasises accuracy, COSHH and DSEAR compliance, and maintaining up-to-date stock records using JobLogic. Prior stores/warehousing experience is essential; forklift certification is a bonus.

• Experience balancing multiple priorities and stock records.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of the stores, keeping everything organised, safe and secure.
• Receive, check and book in deliveries, ensuring orders are accurate.
• Pick, issue and record parts for engineers and installation projects.
• Carry out regular stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor and replenish engineers' van stocks to keep them ready for work.
• Plan and coordinate materials for larger installation projects with procurement.
• Ensure hazardous materials are stored and handled safely per COSHH and DSEAR.
• Maintain compliance records and produce stock and usage reports.

You'll play a key role in making sure engineers have the parts, materials and equipment they need to get the job done.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• A practical, proactive approach and the ability to work well with others.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have:

• Experience in HVAC, refrigeration or facilities management.
• Familiarity with JobLogic or engineers' van stock management.
• Experience coordinating parts for installation projects.
• Forklift or manual handling certification.
