Gap Technical Ltd in Welwyn Garden City is seeking an Engineering Stores Person to join a global manufacturing operation. You will handle order picking, packing, receiving and dispatching, ensuring all documentation and COFC/Import-Export compliance knowledge is applied.

The role operates on days only, Mon-Fri, with minimal supervision and strong team collaboration. Responsibilities include maintaining stock, booking raw materials, shipping parts to subcontractors, and supporting RMA processes

Formación

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience handling high value products.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Order picking and packing and dispatching outgoing orders.
• Ensure documentation is completed in line with procedures.
• Receive and book in raw materials with heat and batch numbers.
• Book finish goods into stock following customer guidelines.
• Prepare and ship parts to subcontractors via PO system.
• Arrange collections with customers as required.
• Support RMA process and customer returns.
• Move products to departments and locations as needed.
• Work without direct supervision and as part of a team.
• Maintain housekeeping and good working practices.

gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Warehouse/Stores Operative to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City

Performance Objectives

• Order Picking and packing: Efficiently Processing and dispatching outgoing orders
• Dispatching Orders: Ensuring ALL documentation is completed correctly while adhering to company procedures. Also, a basic understanding of Certificates of Conformity and Import/Export compliance
• Receiving and Booking in Raw material utilising heat and batch numbers including Free Issue material and storing raw material appropriately within the warehouse
• Booking finish goods into stock following each customers guideline
• Preparing and shipping parts out to various subcontractors through the PO system and receiving back into production
• Arranging collection either directly with the customers
• Support the RMA process- Customer returns
• Movement of products to various departments and locations
• Work without direct supervision and to co-operate as part of a team.
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and maintenance of good working practices, including housekeeping and maintenance.
• Undertake other tasks, including work within other sections, as requested by your line manager within limits of capability and training.

Person Specification

• A-C GCSE Level or equivalent in English and Maths;
• Competent in handling high value products
• General warehouse experience
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships
• Good time management and organisational skills
