Job summary

Shur-Co, based in Wisbech, is seeking a warehouse operative to support day-to-day duties in our warehousing team. You will receive deliveries, store stock, pick and pack orders, and prepare items for dispatch while upholding health and safety standards.

You'll work in a fast-paced environment, be accurate in stock checks, and collaborate with colleagues across the company to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely, professional manner. Forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy, IT and literacy skills.
• Experience in a warehouse or logistics role.
• Forklift licence (RTITB/AITT) desirable.

Purpose of Role

Working in the warehousing team of a multi-national company that manufactures, distributes, and installs covering systems for the haulage industry. The purpose of the role is to support the warehousing team in all aspects of their day-to-day activities. This individual is responsible for handling goods and products within the warehouse including: receiving deliveries, storing stock safely, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for dispatch while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and health & safety standards. This role will be based in Wisbech.

Job Profile Description

General

• Receiving, unloading, and checking incoming deliveries
• Storing goods in the correct warehouse locations
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately
• Using warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts (if trained)
• Conducting stock checks and inventory control
• Working closely with colleagues across the company to ensure customer requirements are satisfied, in a timely and professional manner
• Carrying out general warehousing duties
