Job summary

Lanes Group in North Wales is recruiting a Stores Operative to support field teams at Kinmel Bay and regional yards. You will manage stock, receive deliveries, and assist with site logistics in a busy stores environment.

A full UK driving licence is essential; training opportunities for forklift and telehandler licences are available to the right candidate. This role involves indoor/outdoor duties across multiple sites within the region.

Qualifications

Experience in stores/warehouse or similar operational setting.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong communication and listening skills.
Good IT ability, including accurate data entry.
Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
Hands-on approach to manual work.

Responsibilities

Stock & Materials Management: receive stock requests, prepare job packs, accept deliveries, check quantities and report discrepancies.
Handle materials safely and store correctly in yard/warehouse; carry out regular stock counts and highlight replenishment needs.
Operational Support: maintain housekeeping standards; ensure health & safety policies are followed; report safety issues promptly.
General duties: support wider operations team and adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
