Job summary

Interaction Engineering in Sawtry is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver / Yard Operative to ensure safe and efficient yard and stores operations. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, manage stock, and coordinate vehicle movements within the yard.

The role requires 5 years' forklift experience, a valid counterbalance licence up to 4 tonnes, and strong safety and communication skills. You will also handle lightweight admin tasks using email and Word, and may undertake occasional

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Valid forklift licence/certification for counterbalance trucks up to 4 tonnes.
• Experience in a yard, stores, warehouse or industrial environment.
• Engineering background or experience in an engineering environment preferred.
• Experience with stock control, labeling and stock taking.
• Good computer skills, including email and Word.
• Clean driving licence.
• Strong communication skills and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift up to 4 tonnes.
• Load and unload lorries safely and efficiently.
• Manage vehicle movements within the yard area.
• Book goods in and out of stores.
• Stock control, labeling and stock taking.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and correctly.
• Liaise with suppliers and drivers.
• Maintain a clean, organised yard and stores area.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
