Job Description
Description
London Gatwick | Full-time | DDNN DDNN 12-hour shift pattern
You’re the person who makes sure every part, tool and material is exactly where it needs to be, when it needs to be there.
With a sharp eye for detail and a practical approach, you’ll help our Engineering team deliver planned maintenance safely and on time. If you enjoy a hands-on role where accuracy keeps an airline moving, this is your opportunity.
As a Stores Operative at London Gatwick, you’ll play a key part in the daily delivery of planned maintenance. You’ll keep stock levels on track, prepare materials for upcoming work and help make sure aircraft spares and tooling move safely and efficiently through the station.
Your work will support easyJet’s regulatory, safety and technical standards, helping the Engineering and Maintenance team maintain reliable aircraft operations.
“This role suits someone who takes real pride in getting the details right. You’ll be close to the maintenance operation, solving practical problems and making sure our engineers have the materials and tooling they need for the night’s work.”
You’ll join easyJet’s Engineering and Maintenance team at Gatwick, working with colleagues across stores, materials, planning and maintenance. It’s a fast-moving environment where people share information, support each other and stay focused on safe, dependable delivery.
You’ll receive and inspect materials, spares and tooling, checking shipments for damage and processing them promptly for planned maintenance or stock replenishment.
You’ll preload aircraft spares and materials for upcoming maintenance, monitor station stock minimums and work with materials and commercial suppliers to help avoid shortages.
You’ll quarantine damaged items, arrange the prompt return of unserviceable components and help keep calibrated tooling within the correct inspection periods. You’ll also control tooling loaned to other bases and support carriage of air spares requirements.
Safety and compliance will guide every task. You’ll follow health and safety requirements and make sure easyJet and contracted customer policies are met.
Requirements of the Role
Experience in an engineering stores or tooling environment is essential, with the practical judgement to handle materials accurately and respond to operational priorities. You must hold a full current driving licence.
Attention to detail and confidence using IT are essential. You’ll be organised, comfortable working to deadlines and flexible when plans change or an operational problem needs resolving.
You’ll communicate clearly, build positive working relationships and take ownership of your work.
The best operations are built by people who bring different perspectives, experiences and ways of solving problems. Whatever your background, if you care about safety, accuracy and supporting the team around you, we’d like to hear from you.
