Job summary

SES Energy is seeking a Warehouse/Stores Operative to assist in daily warehouse and stores operations in Aberdeen. You will receive goods, process deliveries, inspect for damage, book stock in, and allocate storage locations in line with procedures.

You will conduct stock checks, monitor levels, perform order picking, packing, dispatch, and safe forklift operations, using the ERP system for transactions and reporting. A valid forklift certification and experience with stock control are required.

Principal Accountabilities

• Assist with the day-to-day operation of the stores and warehouse function.


• Receive incoming goods, ensuring all deliveries are processed accurately and efficiently.


• Inspect goods on receipt, checking for damage or defects and reporting any issues to the relevant department.


• Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes, reporting discrepancies promptly.


• Accurately book in stock and allocate materials to designated storage locations in line with procedures.


• Maintain effective stock control, ensuring all materials are counted, recorded and managed in accordance with company requirements.


• Proactively monitor stock levels and highlight low or critical inventory to ensure timely reordering by the relevant personnel, preventing stock shortages and operational disruption.


• Conduct regular stock checks and audits of consumables and customer‑owned equipment within the workshop and stores.


• Use the company ERP system proficiently for stock management, transactions and reporting.


• Monitor and respond to warehouse email communications in a timely and professional manner.


• Undertake order picking, packing and preparation of goods dispatch.


• Perform deliveries as required, ensuring safe and timely transportation.


• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and in compliance with training and regulations.
