Job summary

WR Engineering in Woore is seeking a Stores Assistant to join a busy warehouse team in a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on receiving, storing, and preparing materials for production, with emphasis on accurate stock records and efficient movement of goods.

You will use WMS and handheld scanners, work 8am–4:30pm, 40 hours per week, at £12.71 per hour, and contribute to a safe, clean workplace while supporting the wider team and following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or materials handling role.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Good organisational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Experience using WMS systems and handheld scanners - desirable.
  • A positive, flexible and team-focused approach.
  • Good awareness of health & safety within a warehouse environment.
  • Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods and materials.
  • Picking and preparing materials and products for production or dispatch.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Using WMS systems and handheld scanning equipment.
  • Moving and handling materials safely around the warehouse.
  • Supporting the wider warehouse and manufacturing teams as required.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Following company procedures and health & safety requirements.
