Job summary

WR Engineering is recruiting for a Stores Assistant to join a busy warehouse team in a manufacturing environment. The role involves receiving and storing goods, picking materials for production, and maintaining stock records.

Candidates should have stores/warehouse experience, familiarity with WMS systems and handheld scanners, and a positive, team‑oriented attitude. Counterbalance or Reach Truck certification is highly desirable and preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse or materials handling roles.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Good organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience using WMS systems/handheld scanners (desirable).
• Positive, flexible, team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check and store incoming goods and materials.
• Pick and prepare materials for production or dispatch.
• Maintain accurate stock records.
• Use WMS systems and handheld scanners.
• Move and handle materials safely in the warehouse.
• Support wider warehouse and manufacturing teams.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Follow company procedures and health & safety requirements.
