Job summary

The Recruitment Group is hiring a Stores & Depot Assistant for our Oxford-based client, working on the Operations team. You will support motor transport and fleet services, maintain depot facilities and stock records, and help manage access and stock security.

Ideal candidates have administrative experience, plant machinery exposure, and the ability to work under pressure. A full UK driving licence and forklift experience are required. Mon-Thu 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-4:30pm; salary £14.94.

Responsibilities

• Support Motor Transport and Fleet Services by providing an effective stores operations.
• Maintain the facilities at the motor transport workshop, including stores, in a safe and tidy condition.
• Restrict and control access to the depot from all unauthorised people.
• Undertake washing and cleaning of all vehicles operated by ODS when necessary.
• Ensure the security of the stores and yard areas within the depot at all times.
• Supervise all additional operatives undertaking specific tasks.
• Administer all stores counter transactions for both stock and direct purchases.
• Assist with maintaining and reviewing stock levels against varying workshop needs, including keeping an accurate stock ledger.
• Assist with regular stock checks including upkeep of all stocks, with reference to the security of goods.

About the role:

• Supporting Motor Transport and Fleet Services by providing an effective stores operations.
