Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well‑established signage manufacturer in Milton Keynes, for an experienced Storeman. You will manage stores, control stock levels, receive deliveries, issue materials to production, and maintain accurate stock records.

A counterbalance forklift licence is desirable. The role requires hands‑on stock control, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Storeman or in stock control role.
• Some buying or purchasing experience.
• Counterbalance forklift licence desirable.
• Good computer skills with stock systems and spreadsheets.
• High accuracy and attention to detail when recording stock.
• Strong communication with suppliers and production staff.
• Well organised with ability to manage priorities.
• Physically fit to lift and move materials.

Responsibilities

• Handle goods inwards and deliveries and check for damage.
• Cross-reference incoming goods with purchase orders.
• Log stock on the inventory system and maintain records.
• Maintain stock levels and assist with stock checking.
• Raise purchase orders and liaise with suppliers.
• Issue materials to production departments as required.
• Ensure stores area is organised and safe; label and store properly.
• Operate counterbalance forklift safely when unloading.
