Job summary

Firmin Recruit are recruiting on behalf of our UK-based manufacturing client for a stores and despatch operative near Bromley. You will assist with goods receiving, stock control, despatch of spares and finished goods, and ensure paperwork and quantities are correct.

Responsibilities include prioritising tasks, maintaining stock records, regular stock checks, and operating an Omnis MRP system and forklift. You will support the Quality Manager during ISO audits and collaborate with Service and

Qualifications

• Strong stock control and stores experience in manufacturing.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• IT literacy with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with goods receiving and dispatch of spares and finished goods.
• Prioritise department tasks and activities.
• Receive and check deliveries, ensuring correct quantities and paperwork.
• Prepare and despatch parts and finished goods to customers and service teams.
• Manage stock levels and maintain accurate records, including regular stock checks.
• Pick parts and materials according to Bills of Materials for production.
• Support Quality Manager and senior management during ISO audits.
• Work with Production Manager to prioritise daily tasks and manage shortages.
• Communicate with Service and Sales teams to organise despatch of goods.
• Handle returns or rejected parts and liaise with Quality Manager.
• Keep records and systems up to date, including stock logs and registers.
• Ensure stores area is clean, tidy, and organised.
• Use of forklift when necessary.
