Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Storeman for an 8-week refinery shutdown at Fawley Refinery, Southampton. The role requires CCNSG Safety Passport, industrial stores experience, and strong stock control skills.

Applicants should have a valid UK driving licence and be available to start 21/09/2026. The assignment involves 60 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus Sundays, and lodge support is available for non-local workers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Storeman in industrial, refinery, petrochemical or shutdown projects.
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport (or equivalent).
• Good organisational and stock control skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and material tracking systems.
• Good safety awareness and reliable attendance.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required due to location.

Responsibilities

Storeman

We're recruiting an experienced Storeman for a major refinery shutdown at Fawley Refinery, Southampton (SO45 1TX). To join the team, you must have previous industrial stores experience and hold a valid CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent.

Start Date: 21/09/2026.

Our Storeman will work on a 8-week assignment offering 60 hours per week

The Role

Working as part of a refinery shutdown / turnaround team, duties will include:

• Managing and controlling site stores operations
• Receiving, issuing and tracking pipework, fittings, nuts, bolts and gaskets
• Managing inventories of tools, equipment and PPE
• Maintaining accurate stock records and material issue logs
• Liaising with supervisors, tradespeople and suppliers to ensure materials are available when required
• Ensuring stores areas are organised, secure and operated safely at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Storeman on industrial, refinery, petrochemical or shutdown projects
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport (or equivalent)
• Good organisational and stock control skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and material tracking systems
• Good safety awareness and reliable attendance
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required due to the location of the site and working hours
