Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Storeman for an 8-week refinery shutdown at Fawley Refinery, Southampton. The role requires CCNSG Safety Passport, industrial stores experience, and strong stock control skills.

Applicants should have a valid UK driving licence and be available to start 21/09/2026. The assignment involves 60 hours per week, Monday to Friday plus Sundays, and lodge support is available for non-local workers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Storeman in industrial, refinery, petrochemical or shutdown projects.
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport (or equivalent).
• Good organisational and stock control skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and material tracking systems.
• Good safety awareness and reliable attendance.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required due to location.

Responsibilities

• Manage and control site stores operations.
• Receive, issue and track pipework, fittings, nuts, bolts and gaskets.
• Manage inventories of tools, equipment and PPE.
• Maintain accurate stock records and material issue logs.
• Liaise with supervisors, tradespeople and suppliers to ensure materials are available when required.
• Ensure stores areas are organised, secure and operated safely at all times.
