Job summary

SGS UNITED KINGDOM LIMITED is seeking a Storekeeper for the Central Store Portlethen on an initial 6 months contract in Portlethen, Aberdeen AB12 4YB. The role involves receiving deliveries, inspecting and storing inventory, and ensuring accurate documentation. Forklift operation is required after training, with 37.5-hour weeks (8am–4pm).

Overtime is applicable. Duration is 6 months with possibility of extension.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive supplier deliveries, ensuring items are in suitable condition and accurately match the packing list and/or purchase order.
• Inspect, label, receive, store, pick, pack, issue and dispose of inventory.
• Complete cycle counts and support activities to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure outgoing materials are properly packed with complete documentation.
• Maintain organised and accurate storage locations for efficient handling and stock control.
• Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment after training and certification.
• Support the wider Materials team with general stores and inventory activities.
• Operate forklift or other equipment after training and certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned; organised, reliable, and a strong team player in a busy warehouse.

Storekeeper Planning and Supply Chain | Materials Management

Role & Responsibilities

• Receive supplier deliveries, ensuring items are in suitable condition and accurately match the relevant packing list and/or purchase order.
• Carry out the inspection, labelling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing and disposal of inventory.
• Complete cycle counts and support activities to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure outgoing materials are appropriately packed and accompanied by the correct and complete documentation.
• Maintain organised and accurate storage locations to support efficient material handling and stock control.
• Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment following completion of the required training and certification.
• Support the wider Materials team with general stores and inventory activities as required.
• Operate a forklift or other materials handling equipment upon completion of training and certification.

Rate: £15 per hour

Working hours start and finish: 37.5 hours. 8am - 4pm
