Job summary

Our Client in Portlethen is seeking a Storekeeper for the Central Store, Portlethen, Aberdeen AB12 4YB. This hands-on, floor-based role supports day-to-day operations in a busy Central Stores environment.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, inspection, storage, picking, packing, issuing and disposal, cycle counts and maintaining inventory records. Forklift operation is required after training; 37.5 hours per week, 8am–4pm.

Qualifications

• Must be organized and reliable in a busy warehouse.
• Ability to work accurately with inventories and paperwork.
• Strong teamwork and communication are essential.
• Forklift training and certification required before operation.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and verify items against packing lists or POs.
• Inspect, label, store, pick, pack, issue and dispose of inventory.
• Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure correct documentation accompanies outgoing materials.
• Maintain organized storage locations for efficient handling.
• Operate forklift or other material-handling equipment after training.
• Support the wider Materials team with stores activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Our Client are currently looking for a Storekeeper for the Central Store Portlethen on an initial 6 months contract.

Location: Portlethen Aberdeen AB12 4YB

Storekeeper Planning and Supply Chain | Materials Management

Role & Responsibilities

This is a hands on, floor-based role, supporting the day to day operation of busy Central Stores. Key responsibilities will include:

• Receive supplier deliveries, ensuring items are in suitable condition and accurately match the relevant packing list and/or purchase order.
• Carry out the inspection, labelling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing and disposal of inventory.
• Complete cycle counts and support activities to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure outgoing materials are appropriately packed and accompanied by the correct and complete documentation.
• Maintain organised and accurate storage locations to support efficient material handling and stock control.
• Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment following completion of the required training and certification.
• Support the wider Materials team with general stores and inventory activities as required.
• Operate a forklift or other materials handling equipment upon completion of training and certification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a busy, operational warehouse environment. Attention to detail and being a strong team player are important aspects of the role.

Rate: £15 per hour

Working hours start and finish: 37.5 hours. 8am – 4pm

Duration: 6 months with possilbility to be extended

Overtime: applicable
