Job summary

Join Co-op as a Customer Team Leader in Gravesend. You will lead a small team to deliver essential services in a fast-paced store, possibly including post office, bakery, or online services.

You’ll drive customer service, stock control, and community engagement while managing day-to-day operations on shifts, including weekends. You will motivate and coach your team, work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, and play a key role in membership growth and exclusive staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management mindset.
• Ability to adapt to flexible shifts and lead by example.
• Experience in retail, merchandising, or supervising a team is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading the team on your shift.
• Motivate, coach, and support your team to deliver great service and efficient operations.
• Work hands-on on the shop floor and tills, supporting daily operations and supervising a team of Customer Team Members.
• Support store performance through merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
