Job summary

Farmfoods Yardley in Birmingham is seeking a Retail Supervisor for a permanent 39-hour week across five days. The role carries an hourly rate of £13.61, with guaranteed 39 hours and opportunities for overtime.

You will support the store manager to deliver great customer service and maintain tidy, safe shop operations. We offer 6 weeks holiday, a 15% staff discount, pension, life assurance and access to a staff benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in retail preferred.
• Able to manage shop operations, cash handling, and staff rostering.
• Must complete Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland.

Responsibilities

• Support the manager in leading the shop to run efficiently and deliver great customer service.
• Run the shop in the manager's absence, oversee deliveries, and maintain a safe, tidy store.
• Open/close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and develop the team.
• Control costs including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.
