Job summary

JE James Cycles is seeking a Store Supervisor to lead by example, delivering excellent customer service and driving sales within our Sheffield area. You will support and motivate the team, take responsibility for the shop floor and day-to-day store operations, and help the team meet sales targets.

As a confident communicator with a passion for bikes, you will recommend bikes and accessories, maintain merchandising standards, assist with basic bike builds, and stay up-to-date with cycling tech.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience with supervisory or team-leading responsibilities.
• Genuine passion for bikes and cycling.
• Good knowledge of bicycles, components and basic cycle maintenance.
• Confident communicator capable of leading and supporting others.
• Strong commercial mindset with focus on sales and customer service.
• Organised, dependable and able to take responsibility when required.
• Familiar with POS systems and in-store technology.

Sales Opportunity Available - Rotherham

Location: JE James Cycles - Rotherham

Hours: Friday-Saturday & Sunday

Pay: Under 21: £11.00 per hour 21 and Over: £13.17 per hour

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome customers with a positive, friendly attitude
• Recommend the right bikes, clothing, and accessories for riders of all levels
• Upsell and advise to help enhance the customer’s cycling experience
• Support the team with store presentation, merchandising, and cleanliness
• Assist with basic bike builds and pre-delivery checks
• Work closely with your teammates to meet store goals
• Keep up to date with the latest cycling tech and trends

What We’re Looking For:

• A genuine passion for bikes and cycling culture
• Hands-on knowledge of cycle builds and maintenance
• A confident communicator who enjoys talking to customers
• Organised, reliable, and comfortable using POS and in-store tech
• Previous retail or customer service experience is great – but not essential
• A strong team player with a proactive, can-do mindset
