Job summary

Colten Care in Altrincham is hiring a customer-focused bike service assistant for a permanent, in-store role. Core hours are 20 per week plus overtime, with wages starting at £10.40 per hour for 22+ and additional rates for younger applicants, plus performance incentives.

You will service and repair a range of cycles, help develop team members, and deliver high standards of customer service. Training is provided with a wide range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in service, building and repair across cycles.
• Experience delivering great customer service, ideally in retail or cycle services.
• Experience sharing expertise with others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver market leading cycle service and repair across kids, adult, premium and electric cycles.

This is a permanent position based in our Altrincham store. Core hours are 20 per week plus overtime.

You’ll have some technical skills, but more about that later. Your unbridled enthusiasm for bikes combined with your knack with customers is what will lead you to success in this role - you’ll be delivering market leading standards of cycle service and repair, after all. Working on kids, adult, premium, performance and electric cycles, you’ll help us wow every customer.

Carrying out most of the service and repair work yourself, you'll also help develop other members of the team. We only work to the highest quality standards, just like you. A practical problem solver who works quickly and efficiently, you’ll help customers find and maintain their dream bike.

Ideally, you already have experience in a retail or cycle services environment, but if you have practical skills and experience of delivering fantastic customer service, we can help you with the rest.

To be successful in this role you'll need:
