Job summary

Sainsbury’s is hiring a Trading Assistant to keep shelves well-stocked and presented, while delivering excellent customer service. You will handle stock replenishment, assist shoppers, and learn product details to make informed recommendations.

The role involves working in a fast-paced store environment with opportunities to develop in various areas and gain experience with new digital tools. A supportive team and store-wide training are provided.

Responsibilities

• Collect stock from warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15kg) to replenish shelves and keep displays tidy.
• Assist customers and proactively offer help throughout the store.
• Build product knowledge to provide informed recommendations.
• Date check freshness of produce and groceries.
• Support across the store and with deliveries as needed.
