Job summary

Argos is seeking a Shift Manager to lead store shifts, motivate teams and provide on‑the‑job support. You will work alongside colleagues on the shop floor and, in the absence of the Store Manager, run the full store operation to deliver great customer experiences.

You will coach staff, drive sales and profitability, manage safety and compliance, and aim to meet key KPIs while growing your leadership capabilities in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues.
• Experience motivating others, driving sales and performance.
• Operational leadership in the absence of management.
• Proven success meeting/exceeding KPIs—sales, availability, customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations in the store, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day activities.
• Coach colleagues and provide on‑the‑spot guidance to deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Assist the Store Manager and allocate resources for tasks like warehouse organisation, deliveries and customer service.
