Job summary

Sainsbury's Argos is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to lead store operations in Fort William, coaching teams on the shop floor, organising deliveries, and ensuring customers receive excellent service when the Store Manager is unavailable.

In this role you’ll drive day-to-day tasks, maintain safety and standards, and work closely with colleagues to hit KPIs and deliver a profitable store performance.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues.
• Experience motivating others, driving sales and keeping operations running smoothly.
• Ability to make shopping easy, fast and friendly for every customer.
• Operational leadership, especially in absence of management.
• Proven success meeting/exceeding KPIs related to sales and customer engagement.
• Demonstrates role-model behavior and service values.

Responsibilities

• Lead store shifts and coach teams for on-the-job support.
• Direct day-to-day operations including warehouse, deliveries, and customer service.
• Maintain safety and compliance in the store.
• Drive profitability through product knowledge and sales focus.
• Provide guidance to colleagues and support the Store Manager when needed.
