Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Manager for the Newport, KY area. You will drive merchandising and operational execution, manage truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, pricing, and promotional execution to keep the store customer-ready and compliant with standards.

This role requires strong workload planning, inventory management, and leadership to coach a team and maintain SOP adherence across daily store operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Experience leading store teams and managing SOPs and in-store execution.
• Strong merchandising and inventory management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead merchandising and operational execution including truck processing and inventory routines.
• Ensure accurate pricing and timely promotional execution.
• Maintain a customer-ready store environment and visual standards.
• Provide MOD coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee truck execution, stock flow, and daily task prioritization.
• Execute SISO routines to optimize in-stock levels and replenishment.
• Manage planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Oversee ship-from-store fulfillment and RTV/ASN processes.
• Support asset protection and shrink reduction initiatives.
