Job summary

Morrisons is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead a large team and deliver a welcoming, high-performing store environment in the Cardiff area. You will coach, develop, and coach talent on the shop floor while ensuring competitive Market Street standards and strong customer service.

You will drive sales, manage costs, and use store data to spot opportunities. A community-focused leader, you’ll partner with local stakeholders and champion our values across the business.

Qualifications

• Has proven experience leading a large, fast-paced team within food retail.
• Leads through continuous coaching, giving meaningful feedback and building trust across the store.
• Strong retail operational knowledge with a genuine passion for food retail and Market Street.
• Able to analyse store performance data, act on feedback, and make sound commercial decisions.

• Set the culture: create an inclusive, high-performing environment where colleagues feel supported and valued.
• Lead from the front: spend time on the shop floor coaching your team and maintaining high standards.
• Develop future talent: mentor and develop your management team to become the store leaders of the business.
• Drive sales and standards: ensure store safety, legality, cleanliness, and optimal stock and costs.
• Connect with the community: partner with local areas and empower Community Champions.
