Hobbycraft is seeking a Store Manager for Newton Abbot to lead store operations and drive exceptional customer service. You will build and develop a high-performing team, manage KPIs, and ensure adherence to brand standards and safety policies.

With responsibility for opening/closing, stock control, and high level store performance, you will foster a safe, inclusive environment and deliver a compelling in-store experience for customers across the Hertfordshire region.

Qualifications

• Management experience in a retail environment.
• Experience in managing performance and development of a team.
• Budgetary control and full recruitment lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Inspirational leadership – lead by example, drive outstanding customer service.
• Brand ambassador – live Hobbycraft values and engage the team.
• Keyholder – open/close store, manage shift and alarm calls as needed.
• Planner – schedule day-to-day operations, holidays and store planning.
• KPIs – drive sales and coach others to improve KPI performance.
• Recruitment and succession – own recruitment lifecycle and staff development.
• Merchandiser – manage stock, control stock levels and deliveries.
• Policy expert – ensure health and safety compliance and audit readiness.
• Communicator – deliver clear communications to the team.
• Visible – be present on the shop floor and complete office admin efficiently.
• Protector – cash controls, back of house access and data compliance.
• Performance management – coach the team and conduct meetings when needed.
