Job summary

Le Creuset UK Ltd is opening a new Exeter store and seeks a Store Manager to lead day-to-day operations, inspire a high-performing team, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will own performance, merchandising, and store standards in a premium retail environment.

You’ll drive sales, manage rotas, train staff, and maintain product knowledge across launches and promotions while ensuring stock accuracy and compliance. A passion for cookware is a bonus.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Store Manager in premium retail.
  • Strong people management and coaching capability.
  • Commercial and operational retail knowledge.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confident using POS systems and retail software.
  • Passion for cooking or cookware is a bonus.
  • Must be 18+ due to key-holding, lone working and opening/closing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Store Leadership: Taking full ownership of the store, leading by example and setting clear expectations for performance, behaviours, and standards.
  • Team Management & Development: Recruiting, training, motivating, and coaching the team so everyone performs at their best and feels supported to grow.
  • Exceptional Customer Experience: Ensuring every customer receives warm, knowledgeable, high-quality service and that issues are resolved professionally and promptly.
  • Sales & Performance: Driving sales, KPIs, and profitability, monitoring performance closely and taking action to maximise results.
  • Commercial Awareness: Using data, insight, and customer feedback to optimise trading, promotions, and product placement.
  • Product Knowledge: Staying fully up to date on the product range, new launches, and promotions to inspire the team and customers alike.
  • Visual Merchandising & Housekeeping: Ensuring the store is always beautifully presented, clean, organised, and on brand.
  • Stock & Inventory Management: Overseeing stock levels, deliveries, replenishment, and stock accuracy to minimise loss and maximise availability.
  • Payroll & Administration: Ensuring all financial and administrative processes are completed accurately and on time.
  • Compliance & Safety: Maintaining a safe, secure, and fully compliant environment for colleagues and customers.
  • Store Operations: Owning all opening and closing procedures and ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations.

  • Confident using POS systems and retail software.
  • Passion for cooking or cookware is a bonus.
  • Ability to lift 2529 lbs regularly.
Other Requirements
  • Must be 18+ due to key-holding, lone working and opening/closing responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work retail trading hours, weekends, late nights, and bank holidays as needed.
