Boots UK is seeking an experienced leader for a flagship Store Manager role at Sedley Place in London. This position requires a strong background in optics and proven leadership skills to manage a large team and ensure high standards in patient care and commercial performance.
You’ll work in a dynamic environment supporting your team while directly influencing store performance, making decisions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 37.5
Recruitment Partner: laura.bradley@boots.com
Are you an experienced optics leader who thrives at scale, brings out the best in large teams and is ready to step into a flagship environment? At Boots Opticians Sedley Place, this is more than a Store Manager role – it’s an opportunity to lead a high-profile, newly refitted store where performance, patient care and brand experience come together in a fast-paced central London setting, and where the care your team delivers makes a real difference to how people see and feel every day.
As one of our flagship locations, Sedley Place showcases the very best of Boots. It’s where new ideas land first, where standards are set, and where strong leadership is felt across every part of the store. With a well-established team of around 20 colleagues and a busy, high-energy environment, this is your chance to set the tone, build on strong foundations and drive the next phase of performance.
This is a hands‑on leadership role with real influence. You’ll be visible on the shop floor, supporting your team through busy days, coaching in the moment and creating an environment where people feel confident to deliver their best. You’ll balance commercial performance with outstanding patient care, working closely with clinicians and senior stakeholders while using insight to keep improving how the store performs.
We’re looking for a strong, experienced leader with a solid optics background and proven success leading large teams (ideally 20+ colleagues), preferably in a flagship or high‑profile environment. You’ll bring credibility, clarity and energy — driving service standards, developing your team and delivering consistent commercial results in a fast‑moving store.
In return, you’ll step into a well-supported, high-performing flagship environment, working full time across 5 days, Monday to Sunday, with excellent transport links and a structured 12-week induction to support your success.
If you’re ready to lead from the front, raise standards and shape the future of one of our most prominent stores, we’d love to hear from you.
At Boots, your career can be as ambitious as you are. Leading a flagship store like Sedley Place puts you right at the heart of our business, giving you the experience, visibility and confidence to take your next step into senior leadership, including Regional Manager roles.
There are plenty of ways to grow from here. You could move into field-based roles supporting multiple stores, shaping areas like operations, clinical governance or colleague development. Or explore opportunities within our Nottingham Support Office across Commercial, HR, Marketing, Buying, Strategy, Finance and Supply Chain.
Wherever you want to go, we’ll support you with the tools, development and opportunities to keep growing—so you can build a career that’s as rewarding as it is meaningful, and truly be brilliant with Boots.
