Job description

Role overview:

The Store Manager oversees daily operations, drives sales performance, manages a team of motivated employees, and ensures exceptional customer service to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities:
  1. Effectively run all store operations to meet or exceed sales & KPI targets, set clear sales goals, track performance, and evolve processes for continuous store growth.

  2. Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.

  3. Foster a positive team culture through recruiting, training, and development, building a motivated, high-performing team for store success.

  4. Analyze sales data and financial reports to make informed decisions, identify opportunities, and respond operationally and commercially.

  5. Develop and implement strategies to meet and surpass sales targets.

  6. Attract, engage, and motivate customers using visual merchandising techniques, ensuring attractive displays aligned with brand guidelines.

  7. Ensure teams deliver high service levels to achieve a positive Net Promoter Score (NPS).

  8. Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.

  9. Drive customer loyalty programs and promotions to enhance engagement.

  10. Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  11. Monitor and control store expenses within budget.

  12. Ensure the store complies with health & safety regulations.

  13. Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store's monthly sales targets and KPIs, including units, conversion rate, ATV, UPT.

  14. Achieve upselling and cross-selling targets.

  15. Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.

  16. Ensure stock accuracy during audits.

  17. Ensure new staff complete mandatory training.

  18. Maintain employee satisfaction and engagement survey results above company benchmarks.

  19. Keep operational costs within the allocated budget.

Skills and Experience:
  1. Previous management experience in a fast-paced retail or customer-facing environment.

  2. Passion for retail with understanding of latest trends and competitors.

  3. Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing teams.

  4. Excellent communication skills.

  5. Proven track record of managing and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.

  6. Experience analyzing reports and making commercial decisions.

  7. Attention to detail and commercial awareness; visual merchandising experience is advantageous.

  8. Ability to promote JD Group values to stakeholders.
