Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Maintenance Technician to cover Shepton Mallet, Yeovil and surrounding areas, ensuring safe, welcoming and well-maintained stores. You will work with a supportive team to perform planned and reactive maintenance, applying problem-solving skills and practical expertise to improve the estate.

You will contribute to safe, compliant stores while learning and growing within one of the UK’s most recognised employers.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety principles.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Digital confidence, including Office 365 and mobile tech.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and technical development.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with external contractors for repairs and maintenance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality service.
• Balance planned maintenance with reactive repairs.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are safe and operational.
• Minimise disruption to customers and colleagues during maintenance.
• Follow planned work schedules for efficient repairs.
• Carry out general property and store maintenance activities.
• Use mobile devices to manage work and update records.
