Job description

Role specific duties: Store Account Manager - Selfridges

To ensure that the counter achieves targets by driving the team. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Setting an example for the team.
  • Ensuring that all daily counter tasks are undertaken.
  • Figures completion – daily and weekly. Managing targets and their allocation.
  • Regular stock management, ensuring out-of-stocks are minimal and building a relationship with the in-store buying team to support this.
  • Ensuring the counter is adequately stocked with products, keeping an eye on stock levels throughout the day and replenishing where necessary, and ensuring products are displayed according to current company guidelines.
  • Ensuring adequate counter cover by formatting rotas.
  • Delegating duties to the team and following up to ensure they have been performed correctly.
  • Mentoring the team.
  • Assisting with training for new product launches.
  • Ensuring that an excellent level of customer service is always provided.
  • Actively traffic stopping to build brand awareness and ensuring that the team also does this.
  • Providing makeup and skincare consultations.
  • Booking appointments and building ongoing client loyalty, including customer database building and communication.
  • Maintaining the counter by cleaning surfaces and display areas daily with provided cleaning materials, ensuring all consultation areas are always clean and ready to use.
  • Effectively managing transactions. Stores will provide necessary cash handling training where required.
  • Leading by example and being an active team member.
  • Always representing the BY TERRY brand in the best possible way.
  • Achieving sales targets as set by the company.
  • Ensuring the team achieves brand items per transaction (IPT) and average pound sale (A£S) expectations, currently set at: IPT = 3, A£S = £150.
  • Actively promoting new launches and promotions.
  • Tracking team sales and providing any necessary sales information at the end of each day.
  • Coaching the team to enable them to reach their targets.
  • Coming up with new ideas for event promotions and working with the retail manager to execute these.

Dress code and image:

  • Representing the company while at work by wearing our products and adhering to the dress code of the store location. Items should be clean and well-pressed with no faded colors. Dress code requirements are discussed further at your brand induction.

Working hours:

Your working hours are set out in your contract. Shift patterns will be confirmed in a monthly rota. You may be required to work additional hours necessary for the proper performance of your duties without extra remuneration. You are entitled to take an unpaid lunch break of one hour, to be taken at a time agreed by the Company.
