This is a exciting role to support the StopSmoking Service in Darlington.
You will need to be a team player with experienceof working in an office environment. Experience of dealing with the membersof the public, Healthcare Professionsals and voluntary groups will be an advantage.
This is a challenging role and the successfulcandidates will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and have a flexibleapproach. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
You will have the ability to workboth independently and as part of a wider team with excellent written andverbal communication skills and, organisational abilities. The Trust is anever-changing environment and you would need to be able to retain your focuson providing an excellent service

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.

Whatthe job entails -
Telephone contact withclients and 3rd parties to process client referrals. This will includeidentifying client requirements; inputting information to online systems and liaising with delivery staff regarding referrals.
To provide a high qualitytyping and word processing service, producing correspondence, spreadsheets,reports and other documents as required, including work of aconfidential/sensitive nature.
Provide an electronic datainput service ensuring information is inputted accurately and in line with dataprotection regulations.
Develop and maintain filingsystems, both manual and computerised, ensuring efficient collation, storageand retrieval of information.
Collate material and information for various meetings, ensuring papers are provided and distributedon time and appropriately.
Maintain electronicappointment diaries, schedule appointments and co-ordinate meetings.
Order equipment andresources as required via CARDEA ordering system and associated systemsutilised by the programme
Carry out otheradministrative tasks as required, including photocopying, collation, bindingand sending and receiving emails and management of generic email mailingaccounts.
Liaise with staff from NHSorganisations, voluntary and independent sectors to maintain close workingrelationships with all regular contacts.
There will be a requirementto work flexibly covering reception and/or the free phone number, includingsome weekends and evenings depending on service need.
Demonstrate a professionalimage at all times ensuring confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
