Job summary

City Health Care Partnership CIC is seeking a Stop Smoking Advisor to support individuals and groups in Merseyside, helping them quit smoking through personalised advice and ongoing motivation.

The role offers a structured development pathway, training and ongoing support within a collaborative community health team across Hull, East Riding, Knowsley and St Helens. 37.5 hours per week, band 3 salary on the NHS scale, with opportunities to grow in health improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development
• Willingness to complete the NCSCT CHCP Health Trainer training course
• NVQ level 3 or working towards an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area or demonstrable equivalent experience
• Training completed in motivational coaching/interviewing or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group support to help people become smoke free
• Give practical advice on the health impacts of smoking and healthy lifestyle choices
• Build relationships with healthcare professionals, community groups and partner organisations
• Keep accurate records, monitor progress and contribute to service evaluation
• Support community events and awareness activities that promote healthier living
