Job summary

ECHO Personnel is seeking an experienced Stock Controller / MHE Operative to join our client's busy manufacturing operation in Oakham. You will carry out cycle counts, check stock against SAP records and help maintain accurate stock information.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with a flexible start/finish between 6:00am and 4:00pm. Salary up to £28,000 per year, with benefits and opportunities for training in MHE equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control or inventory within manufacturing/engineering.
• SAP WMS experience is required.
• Strong IT skills and numerical accuracy.
• Good communication and able to work independently or in a team.
• Able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

ECHO Personnel is seeking an experienced Stock Controller / MHE Operative to join our client's busy and professional manufacturing operation in Oakham. Our client is a well-established engineering manufacturer, supplying high-quality industrial products to customers across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out regular cycle counts and stock checks
• Checking physical stock against SAP records and investigating discrepancies
• Updating and correcting stock information within SAP WMS
• Monitoring stock accuracy and reporting results
• Checking production orders, stock movements and material usage
• Supporting production and inventory teams with stock-related queries
• Investigating and helping resolve stock discrepancies
• Assisting with SAP stock corrections and general inventory administration
• Supporting improvements to stock control processes
• Using MHE equipment where required
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in stock control, inventory control, warehouse or cycle counting
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable
• SAP WMS experience is required
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Good attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Organised and able to work to deadlines
• Good communication skills and a positive approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reach Truck / Scissor Lift licence is desirable
• Willingness to undertake MHE training if required
