Job summary
Pets Choice Ltd is seeking a Stock Controller to maintain accurate inventory across packaging, raw materials and finished goods, supporting production, customer service and operational efficiency.
You will work with Procurement, Planning, Production, Warehouse, Finance and Customer Service to monitor stock movements, perform cycle counts and provide regular reporting to enable informed decisions.
Qualifications
- Proven buying or procurement experience in FMCG/food industries.
- Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial agreements.
- Strong analytical and numerical abilities with advanced Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and stock control principles.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate stock records across Packaging and Raw Material inventories.
- Monitor stock levels vs forecast and flag shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure stock aligns with holding and working capital targets.
- Support stock optimisation to balance service levels and inventory investment.
- Monitor shelf-life materials to minimise waste and obsolescence.
- Assist with production material availability and service continuity.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Manage stock adjustments and conduct cycle counts.
- Reconcile physical stock with ERP inventory records.
- Provide stock reports and KPI analysis for decision-making.
