Job summary

Hermès Paris is seeking an experienced Inventory & Stock Management professional to maintain accurate stock records across Harrods and Selfridges Counters, processing deliveries, transfers, returns and stock adjustments in line with company timelines.

You will ensure stock is correctly ticketed and stored to the highest standards, conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and optimise slow-moving stock while supporting replenishment and availability across counters.

Qualifications

• Stock control, stockroom or inventory management experience required.
• Experience within luxury retail, premium beauty, cosmetics or fragrance preferred.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working across multiple store locations.
• Strong numerical and analytical capability with good Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience using stock management systems.
• Ability to prioritise workload during peak trading periods.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Maintain accurate stock records across Harrods and Selfridges Counters.
• Process all deliveries, transfers, returns, damages and stock adjustments accurately and within company timelines.
• Ensure all stock is correctly ticketed, security tagged and stored according to company & retailer standards.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, negative stock positions and inventory variances.
• Monitor slow-moving stock and communicate opportunities for stock optimisation.
• Ensure all stock locations are organised, clean & tidy, clearly labelled, safe and compliant at all times.

Replenishment & availability

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of any necessary administration, adhering to set procedures and policies as appropriate
• Ensure timely replenishment of all fragrance & beauty lines.
• Maintain optimal stock levels on counter, in proximity stockrooms and within back-of-house areas.
• Monitor bestsellers and proactively replenish to maximise sales opportunities.
• Support launch periods by ensuring stock is available ahead of launch dates.
• Manage tester replenishment and support sampling requirements.
• Prepare stock allocations for key trading periods and promotional activity and assist with set up and breakdown of key activations.

Operational Excellence

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring that all clients requests and after sales service issues are followed up and communicated in a timely manner, consistent with Hermès standards and values.
• Act as the key operational support partner for Beauty Consultants and Counter Managers.
• Ensure efficient processing of customer orders, reservations and collections.
• Support aftersales requests, returns and defective product management.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within all stock areas.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.
• Develop and maintain, good and constant communication with your line manager and/or Store Manager
• Establish and maintain strong relationships within your own store environment and within Hermès by always providing a high-level customer service, including prompt response to requests, and offering alternatives.
• Be prepared to assist on the shop floor with sales during exceptionally busy times (e.g., Christmas).

Merchandise

• Maintain and develop and be proactive with in-depth product knowledge through product training
• Ensure merchandise is handled with care and consideration. .
• Inform your Business Managers with any new stock arrivals instore.

Reporting & Administration

• Maintain accurate reporting within all stock management systems.
• Track and report stock accuracy KPIs.
• Monitor delivery performance and stock availability.
• Produce regular stock updates for retail management teams.
• Support forecasting through visibility of stock levels and potential risks.
• Escalate stock shortages, quality concerns and operational risks promptly.

Loss Prevention & Compliance

• Follow all stock handling and security procedures.
• Support investigations relating to stock loss and inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain strict controls over testers, samples and damaged stock.
• Ensure all audit and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
