Job summary

Pets at Home in Stafford is seeking a Stock Controller for a 12-month fixed-term role at our Fulfilment Centre. You will oversee the smooth running of warehouse operations from receipt of goods to storage and distribution, maintaining safe working practices in a 24/7 environment.

The role requires experience in goods in/out, strong IT skills (Word/Excel), and a collaborative, detail-focused approach to keep stock accurate and available for stores.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 24/7 live environment.
• Experience in Goods in / out.
• Proficient IT skills – Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transport to deliver goods and maintain stock control.
• Manage inventory/stock levels using the JDA system.
• Ensure stock availability and accurate delivery to stores.
• Close inbound POs within 48 hours and resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct weekly location checks and investigate discrepancies.
• Report weekly stock KPIs and support process improvements.
