Job summary

NewCold Group in Wakefield is seeking a Stock Control Coordinator to ensure stock integrity and accurate inventory across customer accounts. You will be the primary contact for stock inquiries and support order allocations, transfers, disposals, and stock adjustments, working across operations, customer service, and transport teams.

You will investigate discrepancies using WMS tools, perform detailed stock checks, and generate reports to drive continuous improvement while maintaining high levels

Qualifications

  • Experience in stock control and inventory management within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Ability to investigate stock discrepancies and analyse inventory data.
  • Ability to manage customer queries and support order allocations and stock movements.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.

  • Produce and maintain stock reports, track discrepancies and non-conformances, and ensure compliance checks and stock adjustments are handled efficiently.
  • Collaborate across departments to support continuous improvement and deliver excellent service to customers.

Overview

We are seeking a Stock Control Coordinator to joinour team in Wakefield. This role is responsible for maintaining stock integrityand ensuring accurate inventory management on behalf of our customers. Actingas the primary point of contact for stock-related enquiries, you will play akey role in investigating discrepancies, managing inventory records, andsupporting operational excellence across the site.

Working closely with Operations, Customer Service,Transport and customers, you will help ensure stock accuracy, timely issueresolution, and the highest levels of customer service.

Location: Wakefield
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for investigatingstock discrepancies, resolving inventory issues, and maintaining accurate stockrecords across a range of customer accounts. You will act as the first point ofcontact for customer stock enquiries, supporting order allocations, stocktransfers, disposals, sample requests, stock blocking and release requests, andother inventory-related activities.

You will carry out detailed investigations into lost ormisallocated stock using warehouse management systems and available trackingtools, while liaising with operational teams to identify root causes andimplement corrective actions. Regular stock checks and warehouse-basedinvestigations will form part of the role to ensure inventory accuracy andeffective resolution of issues.

The role will also involve producing and maintainingstock reports, tracking trends in discrepancies and non-conformances,supporting audit activities, and ensuring that all stock adjustments,compliance checks, and customer-specific requirements are managed accuratelyand efficiently.

Working collaboratively across departments, you will helpmaintain stock integrity, support continuous improvement initiatives, andcontribute to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with previous experience in astock control, inventory management, warehouse administration, logistics orsupply chain environment. Experience investigating stock discrepancies,analysing inventory data, and managing customer queries would be highlyadvantageous.

You should have strong numerical and analytical skills,excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently withwarehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularlyExcel. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiplepriorities in a fast-paced environment are essential.

You will be a proactive and collaborative team playerwith excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Thesuccessful candidate will be comfortable working both in an office environmentand within the warehouse when required to support stock investigations andinventory checks.

The role will involve warehouse-based activity, includingentering freezer environments and supporting stock investigations, which mayinclude accompanying MHE operations within the warehouse.

Experience of warehouse management systems, stockauditing, inventory reconciliation, and operational reporting would bebeneficial.
