Job summary

Nexus People in Doncaster is seeking a dedicated Stock Controller to join our operations team. You will help maintain accurate stock levels, learn our warehouse processes and contribute to a smooth, safe working environment.

The role is full-time, 4 days out of 7 with one-in-three weekends, paying £13.00 per hour. This is a great chance to progress from temp to permanent on a brand-new site, with on-the-job training and a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Previous stock control experience.
• Willingness to learn and team-player mindset.
• Fluent English (read, write and speak).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels.
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits.
• Update inventory records using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Manage incoming stock, transfers, returns and putaway reconciliation.
• Generate and analyse inventory reports, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams, suppliers and other departments to ensure compliance and safety.

About the Role

We're looking for Full time Stock Controllers to join our team and help keep things moving smoothly behind the scenes. You will need to have previous experience working in stock control – along with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a team-player mindset.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels to ensure efficient warehouse operations
• Conduct regular stock counts, audits and investigations to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Update and maintain accurate inventory records using the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Manage incoming stock, stock adjustments, transfers, returns and putaway reconciliation
• Generate and analyse inventory reports, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
• Work closely with warehouse teams, suppliers and other departments to ensure smooth stock movements and compliance with company procedures and health and safety regulations

You should be:

• Able to work on your feet for long periods of time.
• Able to identify discrepancies and potential quality issues.
• Organised and have good record-keeping skills.
• Flexible and able to follow instructions
• Punctual, with a good work ethic
• Able to speak, read and understand English fluently
