Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Stock Controller for the Sheet Metal Department in Derry/Londonderry to manage inventory accuracy and support smooth daily operations. You will help ensure stock availability and contribute to process improvements, making a tangible impact on production efficiency.

The role involves collaborating with Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse and Manufacturing teams, maintaining detailed records, and adhering to safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Manage and control inventory within the Sheet Metal Department.
• Record stock transactions accurately in Oracle and BRiK.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and stock audits.
• Forecast and monitor stock levels to support production.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, and Manufacturing teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support production teams by ensuring materials are available when required.
• Work with Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, and Manufacturing teams to coordinate material requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes.

SMD Stores Campsie Derry/L'Derry is seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join our Sheet Metal Department and help keep our operations running smoothly.

As our Stock Controller, you will play a vital part in managing inventory accuracy, ensuring stock availability, and supporting efficient daily operations. You will join a close-knit, collaborative team where your work genuinely matters.

This isn’t a box-ticking stock role, you will have real input into how inventory is managed, how processes can be improved, and how operations can run better.

Key Responsilblites

• Manage and control inventory within the Sheet Metal Department.
• Ensure accurate recording of all stock transactions in Oracle and BRiK.
• Maintain stock accuracy and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Perform regular cycle counts and stock audits.
• Monitor material usage and stock levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Generate inventory reports and analyse stock data using Microsoft Excel.
• Reconcile physical stock against system records and resolve variances.
• Support production teams by ensuring materials are available when required.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, and Manufacturing teams to coordinate material requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes and material management practices.
• Adhere to all company Health & Safety and Quality procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a Stock Controller , Inventory Controller , Materials Controller , or Stores role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle ERP.
• Experience using BRiK.
