Job summary

Escape is seeking an organised Stock Controller to take ownership of packaging stock at a busy manufacturing site. You will work closely with Production, Planning, Site Management and suppliers to ensure the right packaging is in the right place, at the right time.

Responsibilities include managing stock levels, using Excel to analyse usage, costs and trends, raising purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers on lead times.

Qualifications

• Stock control or materials experience in manufacturing.
• Highly proficient in Excel (formulas, lookups, pivots).
• Analytical, detail-oriented and well-organised.

• Monitoring obsolete and excess stock and looking for opportunities to reduce costs.
• Investigating stock discrepancies and resolving issues quickly.
• Carrying out month-end stock counts and regular cycle counts.

Are you a Stock Controller, Materials Coordinator or Buyer who likes a role where you can actually get stuck in and make a difference?

Escape's client is looking to appoint an organised, analytical Stock Controller to take ownership of packaging stock for a busy manufacturing site.

You will work closely with Production, Planning, Site Management and suppliers to make sure the right packaging is in the right place, at the right time and you will also be out in the warehouse checking stock, investigating discrepancies and making sure everything is where it should be.

• Managing packaging and raw material stock levels, including min/max levels and stock availability
• Using Excel to analyse stock, usage, costs, waste and trends
• Working from production plans to ensure packaging is ordered in time

Experience and Knowledge required for the role:

• You will ideally have previous stock control, materials, inventory or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Very comfortable with Excel - formulas, lookups, pivot tables and working with data from different sources
• Numerate, analytical and very detail conscious
• Highly organised, with the ability to plan ahead and problem solve
• A confident communicator who is comfortable dealing with suppliers and internal teams
• Someone who can work at pace and react when production requirements change
• Naturally inquisitive and able to think for yourself and use your initiative
• A genuine team player who is happy getting out from behind the desk when needed
