Job summary

Escape is seeking an organised Stock Controller to take ownership of packaging stock at a busy manufacturing site. You will work closely with Production, Planning, Site Management and suppliers to ensure the right packaging is in the right place, at the right time.

Responsibilities include managing stock levels, using Excel to analyse usage, costs and trends, raising purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers on lead times.

Qualifications

• Stock control or materials experience in manufacturing.
• Highly proficient in Excel (formulas, lookups, pivots).
• Analytical, detail-oriented and well-organised.

Responsibilities

• Managing packaging and raw material stock levels, including min/max levels and stock availability.
• Using Excel to analyse stock, usage, costs, waste and trends.
• Working from production plans to ensure packaging is ordered in time.
• Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers on orders, deliveries and lead times.
• Planning ahead for seasonal demand and supplier shutdowns.
• Monitoring obsolete and excess stock and looking for opportunities to reduce costs.
• Investigating stock discrepancies and resolving issues quickly.
• Carrying out month-end stock counts and regular cycle counts.
