Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is hiring a Stock Controller for an established manufacturing business in Burton-on-Trent. The role focuses on maintaining accurate stock records, coordinating inventory administration and supporting day-to-day operations.

Reporting to the Plant Controller, you will manage stocktakes, process goods receipts, raise PO requests and maintain supplier pricing, with hours from 9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm, 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in stock control, inventory administration, manufacturing administration or a similar role.
• Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident working with figures, records and computer systems.
• Organised, methodical and able to manage a varied workload.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly physical stocktakes, reconcile stock levels against system records and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate stock records, tracking materials through production from work in progress to finished goods.
• Prepare daily loading lists for customer deliveries and dispatch.
• Monitor and record raw material purchase prices.
• Raise purchase order requests and maintain supplier catalogue pricing.
• Process goods receipts and update inventory records.

We are recruiting a Stock Controller to join an established manufacturing business in Burton-on-Trent, part of a large international group.

Reporting to the Plant Controller, you’ll play an important role in maintaining accurate stock records, coordinating inventory administration and supporting the day-to-day running of the operation.
