Job summary

Totec in Birtley is recruiting a Stock Controller / Delivery Specialist to oversee stock at the Birtley warehouse, replenish items, and deliver to local customers.

You will build strong customer relationships, maintain stock levels across North East England, and ensure safe, tidy warehouse operations. The role requires prior stock experience, a full clean licence, and a proactive, flexible approach.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 8am start.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and replenish stock at key customer sites across North East England.
• Ensure stock availability to meet customer requirements.
• Process delivery notes to reorder out-of-stock items promptly and replenish all managed stock.
• Manage stock levels at Birtley warehouse and oversee receipt of supplier deliveries, ensuring a safe, clean, organised and efficient warehouse.
• Carry out consignment stock counts and inventory checks at selected customer sites in the region.

Stock Controller / Delivery Specialist (Service & Supply Operative)

Salary: £29,000 per annum

Days / hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week (8am start)

Our client, who is a world leader in the production of industrial gases has a new opportunity available for an experienced Stock Controller to join their team in Birtley. The role will include keeping track of stock levels (in-house and for customers), re-ordering and replenishing stock, and making deliveries to local customers/companies.

Duties:

• You will maintain and replenish stock at selected key customer sites across North East England
• As well as maintaining and replenishing managed stock items at selected key customer locations across North East England, you will ensure stock availability is maintained to meet customer requirements
• This role is responsible for processing delivery notes to reorder out-of-stock items in a timely manner, as well as replenishing all managed stock items
• You will manage stock levels at the Birtley warehouse and oversee the receipt of supplier deliveries, while ensuring the warehouse is maintained in a safe, clean, organised, and efficient manner
• As well as supporting wider stock management activities, you will carry out consignment stock counts and inventory checks at selected customer sites throughout the region

Person Specification:
