Job summary

Pertemps Newcastle in Birtley is seeking a Service & Supply Operative to join our team. This hands-on role combines stock control, warehouse operations and local deliveries to keep customers supplied and stock accurate.

You will build strong relationships with customers, manage stock levels across our local area and within the Birtley warehouse, and help keep the warehouse safe and efficient. The role requires a full, clean UK driving licence, reliable time management and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage and replenish customer stock levels to ensure products are available when required.
• Carry out regular stock checks and inventory counts at customer locations.
• Identify stock requirements and arrange replenishment and reorders.
• Process delivery notes and ensure out-of-stock items are reordered promptly.
• Make deliveries to customers and businesses across the local area.
• Manage stock within the Birtley warehouse and ensure incoming deliveries are recorded correctly.
• Keep the warehouse safe, clean, tidy and well organised.
• Support the wider stock and supply operation when required.
• Build strong, professional relationships with customers and provide a consistently high level of service.

Service & Supply Operative

Birtley | £28,000-£30,000 DOE | Permanent | Monday-Friday | Full Clean UK Driving Licence Required.

Are you organized, customer-focused and looking for a role that offers plenty of variety? We're recruiting for a Service and Supply Operative to join the team of a global leader in the industrial gases sector, based in Birtley.

This is a hands-on role combining stock control, warehouse operations, customer service and local deliveries. You'll be responsible for making sure customers across the North East have the products they need, while keeping stock levels accurate and the warehouse running smoothly.

• Managing and replenishing customer stock levels to ensure products are always available when required.
• Carrying out regular stock checks and inventory counts at customer locations.
• Identifying stock requirements and arranging replenishment and reorders.
• Processing delivery notes and ensuring out-of-stock items are reordered promptly.
• Making deliveries to customers and businesses across the local area.
• Managing stock within the Birtley warehouse and ensuring incoming deliveries are received and recorded correctly.
• Keeping the warehouse safe, clean, tidy and well organised.
• Supporting the wider stock and supply operation when required.
• Building strong, professional relationships with customers and providing a consistently high level of service.

What are we looking for?
