Job summary

Mediq UK are recruiting for a Stock Control Process Lead based in Castle Donington. Reporting to the Stock Control Supervisor, you will support daily stock control operations, ensure inventory accuracy and drive best practice across stock control processes.

You will also develop colleagues, lead by example and provide coverage for the supervisor as required. The role requires at least 2 years in stock control with strong analytical skills and ERP experience (BY/Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle or Sage).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in stock control or inventory management.
  • Experience with ERP systems (BY, SAP, Oracle or Sage).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Able to coach or guide colleagues and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operation of the Stock Control department, ensuring efficient inventory management and stock accuracy.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to support operational requirements.
  • Produce accurate and timely activity reporting.
  • Use Short Interval Control (SIC) techniques to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a strong culture of Health & Safety awareness across the department.
  • Coordinate tasks and activities effectively across the team to ensure operational success.
  • Conduct regular stock audits, physical stock checks and system reconciliations.
  • Support the management and maintenance of stock control systems, including BY and Sage.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and timely updates for all stock movements.
  • Monitor stock receipt, storage and distribution processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior Stock Controllers and warehouse colleagues.
  • Assist with training and development activities to improve stock management knowledge and system utilisation.
  • Generate reports on stock levels, inventory performance, stock discrepancies and turnover rates.
  • Monitor stock control KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the management and disposal of obsolete or damaged stock in line with company procedures.
  • Lead by example, motivating colleagues and encouraging high performance through engagement and recognition.
  • Provide cover for the Stock Control Supervisor as required.

Stock Control Process Lead

We are currently recruiting for a Stock Control Process Lead to join our team based in Castle Donington. Reporting to the Stock Control Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the Stock Control function, ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining optimal stock levels, and minimising stock discrepancies. You will also support the development of colleagues, drive best practice across stock control processes and provide supervisory cover when required.

Salary - £27,000 - £29,500

What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience within a stock control, inventory management or warehouse operations environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in stock control or inventory management.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience using stock control and ERP systems such as BY (Blue Yonder), SAP, Oracle, Sage or similar.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Experience supporting, coaching or guiding colleagues within an operational environment.
  • Well organised, proactive and results driven.
  • A positive team player with a strong work ethic and focus on operational excellence.
  • Ambitious with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
