Home Based, covering the South East

Covering properties in Basingstoke and Deane, Cherwell, Eastbourne, Reading, Southampton, Waverly, Woking, Vale of White Horse, and Mole Valley.

This is an exciting opportunity for housing and property professionals to join a new team, setting standards for data collection and informing future investment strategies for the next 30 years.

Role Responsibilities

1. Conduct stock condition surveys across a designated geographical area.
2. Visit residents and collect accurate data on their homes.
3. Engage with residents, leaseholders, housing management, and external agencies.
4. Record hazards, safety concerns, and repairs, ensuring homes and communal areas are safe, warm, and secure.
5. Contribute to ongoing improvements of stock condition strategies.
6. Maintain updated information to support programming and compliance with standards.
7. Stay informed about relevant regulations, legislation, and standards such as the Decent Homes Standard, Building Regulations, and British Standards.

Candidate Requirements

• HNC level qualification or equivalent in construction, housing, management, or property.
• Knowledge of the Decent Homes Standard, component lifecycles, HHSRS Rating system, and building construction methods.
• Ability to diagnose and address defects related to building components.
• Proven ability to meet targets, prioritize, and manage workload.
• Commitment to staying updated with housing legislation and construction practices.
• Empathy and professionalism in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Housing Management systems.
